Springboard for Talented Fashion Designers

The APOLDA EUROPEAN DESIGN AWARD is an initiative of the region of Apolda, Weimarer Land, Thuringia. On 5th April 2014, the competition is going to take place for the 8th time in Apolda. Since its beginnings in 1993, it has become a springboard for talented fashion designers. Today, the APOLDA EUROPEAN DESIGN AWARD is one of the most highly-acclaimed European competitions in fashion design.

The APOLDA EUROPEAN DESIGN AWARD exclusively addresses European universities and colleges chosen by the organizers and the jury, and it is only given to fashion designers who will have graduated in 2013. Professors of the fashion design department at universities and colleges are in charge of suggesting them. Nominees themselves are responsible for submitting their fashion design graduates works.

A jury of renowned fashion experts determines the winners and decides upon the distribution of the sum.
